Help.....I am trying to create a small video using You Tube clips of old TV intros and movie intros. I want to enhance the audio/video quality on the clip and replace the face of the actor(s) in the clips with a still picture(jpg)allowing the moving video to continue with the still picture replacing the face of the actor.

I have all of the You Tube clips downloaded as well as the face jpgs. I am creating this for an office Christmas party for a gag. Can anyone give me some advice on how to do this? I have a small budget that I could work with if someone takes an intrest....thanks in advance!..Mike

Using YouTube clips as source material is not a good idea. The video quality of your final output is going to range from terrible to unwatchable. A substantial amount of detail is lost in the conversion to FLV format, and once it's lost this quality cannot be restored.

If you can find these TV and movie intros in a better format (such as MPEG2, MPEG1 etc), that's the way to go. If the clips are old enough to be in the public domain, try the attached link. These MPEG formats can be transcoded to AVI and edited much more easily than FLV files, and the end result will be of *much* better quality.

As for editing software, I'm not aware of any FLV editors that can do what you're trying to do. Again, if you can find these clips in MPEG format, you can transcode them to AVI and have a much wider choice of software (Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas etc).

Jeff, thank you for the information. Also thank you for the link. I have checked the link for the various clips (TV intros/themes) and the ones that I have chosen are fairly obscure and they are not on the link. Since this is primarily a gag for the party the quality would only need to be that the video have recognizable audio video.
