Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I can't imagine having water as hard as you guys have there. That's gotta suck!

Indeed! Lots of of Limeaway is liberally used in the bathroom sinks and toilets. Actually had to dispose of a vintage American Standard toilet because it was nearly plugged up with hard water deposits. Luckily, I was able to get another vintage American standard toilet as a replacement. 5 gallon flushes are the ONLY way to go!

Yeah those water saving ones are pointless. You usually have to flush it 4 or 5 times to get everything down, which defeats the purpose lol. I can just imagine what your incoming water pipes look like with water that hard.

LOL! Actually, I found no build-up in the cold/hot copper pipes when I converted the original galvanized facets for the washer to 1/4 turn brass ball valves. Found only a slight haze of build-up in the metal drainpipe for the sink upstairs when I replaced it with PVC piping. I know, I don't get it either, but I'm certainly not complaining :)

I'm having a tough time with...

My Dishwasher. I'm using Somat with 1/2 tsp od TSSP. The Glasses are coming out horrible. I don't like to use Drying Agent, and before everything was fine. I guess the Powedered Cascade I had was doing OK. However, my White Laundry shines as bright as revvinKevin's Lighted Controled Garage. LOL
