Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Oh how I wish.....

We had neat twin tubs like that here in the States.... We had a Hoover twin tub back around the early 1970s. It had the pulsator instead of the agitator. My Mom didn't like it because she said it didn't get the clothes clean and she couldn't wash alot of clothes in it. She had a Kenmore Vista wringer before that and then after about a year got a GE Filter Flow and loved it.

I loved my 70s Panasonic twinny. Only sold it because I moved from Hawaii and it was too expensive to ship. Might be just as well. Nothing lasts forever and by now there are certainly no parts for those.

Europe in general and UK in particular have access to great used twinnys. Think I'd wait for one not rusted and busted though.

sorry Ozzie

I decided to bid on the machine in case mine broke down and i needed spares, sorry Ozzie if i hadnt bid up to £25.00 it would have been yours for a quid.
obviously i had an idea one of us would try to buy it hence i stopped at £25.00.
Let me know how you get on with it, if its beyond repair i will buy it off you for spares.
Cheers

Don't you worry I don't mind giving the £26 I am hoping its able to be fixed I have been after one for a long time as my Mum had one when I was small back in the 60's in fact hers was a mk1 but this is close. If by any chance I am not able to fix it I will contact you direct and ask you for a box of kleenex while you take it away :) I am still waiting for the seller to contact me its been nearly 24 hours and not a word..???

Your new baby

Apparently it was found in an old house which was about to be pulled down so with a bit of luck it might just work.
Sensible thing to do of course is to take the back off it , give everything a good spray with wd40 then crank her up, that's the sensible option , or you could do what I have done so many times, just plug it in and see what happens.
Good luck

Being an impatient person

the washer

I know all this cos i asked the seller.
The IT DOSNT WORK in the listing i think was just protection for the buyer so fingers crossed that it wont take too much to get it going.
Just used mine today , they really are a great machine, i hope you get it going and enjoy it in good health.
