Ok guys, I'm not sure exactly what these are called, but I know you're familliar with them, they're the counter top drop-in units that feature two burners, typically the calrod style. Even as recently as late, you could still find these at some of the big box stores, but my question for the group is, were they ever offered in colors like pink or turquoise? Anyone know?

My cousin built their lake house down the street from ours. they put in a Corning version of this around 1975 or 1976. It's still used today. I thought it was kinda cool.

Westinghouse offered these in all of their colors and brushed chrome. In pictures of President Carter's home in Plains, you can see the Westinghouse pairs with the controls on the cabinet fronts. I have a beautiful MIB Thermador two surface unit cooktop in stainless steel. Hotpoint, in their Customline built ins even offered a two unit cooktop with the deep well cooker that could use the thermostatically controlled immersion heating element for deep frying like on their cabinet ranges, provided that the back splash or wall behind the counter was such that the electrical outlet could be positioned close enough to the rear of the cooktop.
