Stopped snowing at least and now the lot is plowed...
Thats my infamous Grand Marquis at the lower left...I usually come around the cars at the top of the pic and drive forward into one of the front spaces. Well this morning I did that, only I had to stop and wait for someone to pass. When I stepped on the gas pedal again I lost the back end of the car, and wound up sliding into the space next to that red truck backwards!

man I hate winter!!

What No Big Girl Truck?

Thanks for the pictures Jeff, now give some of that back mister, hmmmph!!

Ohhh maybe it's time to turn in the Grand Marquis for a big girl truck. I love my big girl truck a Dodge Dakota, and it just laughs at the snow. I just press the magic button maked "4-Wheel Drive" and away I go. No fuss no muss, just set it and forget it.

Jeff ... it looks like a wet snow; is that right? You must have got home OK!! HOORAY!! Now ... are you going to get the frigid air that usually accompanies a snow storm?

Oh, Scott ... well, it must have been absolute torture to live here for you! Goodness sakes ... what a terrible feeling you must have had. Certainly you had many friends here; I'm sure that helped, didn't it? I remember seeing you at a couple of Robert's functions; you "seemed" happy ... I mean, you didn't seem like you were going to jump off the bridge or something; you hid it well!!

I lived in Prescott, Arizona for about 5 years. I used to go to Phoenix with friends on ocassion and couldn't stand the drive through the desert; that was depressing for me. I was used to the land of 10,000+ lakes and trees and flowers and farms and cows and ... :-)

Oh no, Geoff, had nothing to do with places or people, by any means! My issue was 250% climate. I will always be back visiting once or twice a year, and hope to see you on some of those, but I can just about promise you that your calendar will read April, May, September or October when you do!!

Well Scott ... Minnesota misses one of her sons!! :-)

I hope to see you again, too; goodness we just met and then you moved on. I suppose that's how life goes, huh?

I'm sure the hearth fires are always burning here in Minnesota!

I bet you're a heartier person than you let on. I've always thought this type of climate gives you grit to tackle life's more challenging situations; it helped you move ... right? :-)

Oh my.. Look at the snow... I remember that b4 Grandpa bought the brown explorer,he had a 2001 Grand Marquis i think... I couldn't even get it up the old drive way one day when there was a very light snow...

Its now 6:45 pm and 49 degrees at my friends parents house (Watching 24)

yes, heavy wet snow...

the stuff that makes roads icy and doesen't blow off the car while driving...
Robert, please come get this Sh*T
I made it home ok, going out for a bit tonight, if for no other reason than to gas up the Grand Marquis. Maybe a full tank will help her stay on the road!
I don't understand it though, I've always had rear drive cars and never had a problem in winter, until this car!

Its those terrible Michilen Symmetry Tires..... Try something else....I had a set on my infiniti and they suck... I know there factory equipment on those things.. (Ok, i admit it, I am also a huge car nut and know way more cars from having sold them for about a year, would never do it again.. It was teriible..)

Incidentally, it's entirely possible that we here in New Jersey are being hit by some sort of windstorm or tornado, as I write.

I'm waiting for the amber light on the "emergency" radio to start blinking.....

YIKES!

Jeff, I am very thankful you made it home safe. As I get older, I really dislike the cold (and the heat), ugh.

I tell ya what Jeff, I'll call and you can put Jack on the phone. I'll a heart-to-heart talk to him about not giving Dad so much stress with him bounding all over the place and loving the snow. I'll have to remind him the boss is there to also take care of Dad!!

We had 40 mph plus winds here eairler and no power... It was awful....

31 degrees with 10 mphs winds 2:18 am can't sleep

out the window

I'd actually tried to post this yesterday, but something was amiss and it would not let me!

Here's a pic out my bedroom window yesterday morning about 9am. No ponds here Robert, how about a creek instead?
The roads are now cleared and mostly dry, but the sidewalks around my house are another story. They tried to clear everything, but took the sidewalks down to ice... Jack saw a cat last night when we were walking and took off after it, landing me on my A**! Next time I'll just let go of the leash!
More than a little sore here today!

Just beautiful Jeff and I love your Creek! We work up to flurries this morning and a dusting on the ground. Better than nothin'.
