Uh oh. Intake/Drain fault on Miele G2430SCU dishwasher

The machine drains normally at the beginning of the program (regardless of program) but does not take in water. I've checked the filter in the intake hose fitting per the manual but it had little sediment and clearing it did not resolve the issue. Before I phone for Miele service is there somewhere else or something else I should check for functionality? Maybe a solenoid somewhere?

I've already got dishpan hands just typing about this. Sigh.
