Impressed w/ the Kelvinator Mini-Fridge & how it made it across The Pond, w/o the "Product Of American Motors" tag that it got here...

Ditto for our General Electric Americana Side X Side Fridge... (Post # 883802 , Reply # 7)

Someday I want to go to the UK...

Parnall Dryer

An example of bringing back an old name to put on a modern product. The last product Parnall produced was a small tumble dryer. After the brand was discontinued the same design continued as Jackson and then for a very long time as Creda, where its was updated and somewhat re-styled over the years. Eventually the design did not look much like the old Parnall dryer as all, and soldiered on as Creda for many years. This is a Creda dryer with the Parnall name, and so things go in circles

Main gas stove.

Goodness me thats a blast from the 60's I am sure as Mum bought one brand new from the Gas showroom it was a lesser model as no timer but otherwise identical to the one shown, In 1973 My Uncle moved into a new property and he bought the exact one shown second hand from an auction and it worked flawlessly until he moved in 2001 and left it behind for the new occupiers.
I remember the pilot light on his played up so he always had a giant box of safety matches by the side of it he used matches for the grill and oven too but ours had the battery operated glow igniters, We bought a later stove in 82 that was plugged in so it clicked to light and had a clock you could set which was the main reason for having it so Mum could put stuff to cook and go to work, those were the days !!
