I'd say you're spot on with 1968 this is the one mentioned in the English Electric in house magazine I have from 1966. It's the TOL model with the 'two in one' ring at front right and simmerstat at rear left. The top oven doesn't have a variable thermostat, it's fixed at 300deg according to the advert, looks like that's the case with there only appearing to be a switch by the pilot light.

That wall colour behind it would have gone nicely in my kitchen!

The main (conventional) oven was a good baker, on my Mum's the top over had full thermostatic control but was a disaster to use, burnt everything. The simmerstat plate was not much use either as the support was slightly too small for the aperture i9n the hob so inevitably one of the supports would drop down into the drip well underneath - not the best of designs. I told my mother to buy a Tricity President or even better a Belling Classic :)

Tricity Oven

No shortage of these about at the moment.

The one posted back up the thread was the first style in this series, this is the second. Note the ventilation grills at top and bottom are much enlarged - this oven required an aperture of 120cm. Around 1973/74

Later version

This is not quite the next version to the one above - the layout of the controls has changed and a digital timer added, but the same knobs used as in the previous. This was updated towards the end of the 1970s with new knobs although otherwise pretty much as before

And this was the Tricity's main competitor.

Actually better featured as it had both the larger fane oven and a rotisserie - with the Tricity you could have one or the other but not both. It fitted into a smaller aperture, I think its about 100cm high, might be 90cm
