This is an unusual one, although it looks in good condition I think it must be very old - pre art deco - as apparently there is no provision for earthing (grounding) it. A display item rather than a daily driver I think

Something unusual in the UK, I wonder if our American friends can provide any information, its not a brand I have ever seen mentioned before. It too me a few minutes to realise that the grill pan was sitting on top of the unit. 110V of course

Puilips Under-counter Freezer
About 1983/84, I bought a Philips top mount fridge freezer then with similar styling. I am surprised those baskets have lasted so well. Normally you get a basket at the bottom not a freezing compartment

Hi Alistair,
the drawer is what the new / current line of Hotpoints use and have used for a few years now since the introduction of the WMD/WMF/WML line of machines. I do like how they kept it, but its not my favourite drawer design...looong Servis trays are my favourite! Haha
Anyway, decent Hotpoints. The early Liberator dryer is back, same price...

Hotpoint 9534. Intact side and lid strips but has the usual chunk out the handle. Notice how the dial isn't set to a cycle or a O position...but part way between 1 & 2.

my grandma had a toaster like the one in your photo up at the top. I think it was called a sandwich griller. The brand was either Mirro, West Bend, or Presto.
I can't remember, but it was not Sunbeam, or Toastmaster.
It is from the early 60's. She had it a long time, on a counter top between her 1950's 36 inch Magic Chef stove, and early 60's Hotpoint 17 cubic foot refrigerator.

That detergent drawer was introduced on a TOL Ariston Margherita IIRC. I once had a brochure, but can't find it at the moment.
The compartment at the bottom of the Philips freezer was for freezing unfrozen things. The switch is probably for something like a superfreeze setting. At the bottom and without the drawer things freeze the fastest. I remember more freezers had such a compartment.
