UK Hotpoint 'Next Generation' Series

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I love these threads Paul. A few of these next gen machines do surface from time to time but I'm not sure if people think they are worth having - almost a crossover from vintage to modern - but I do like them. Look forward to the next instalment

Just remembered that Vista being Vista managed to wipe my old computer, and thought for a second I might not have the pictures...fortunatley I managed to retrieve some so here are a few more to add...

Hi Chris.
I had a feeling that that 9514 image I posted was from someones collection - thanks for posting the other photos of the machine. Classic Hotpoint drum :-)

An issue ...

By numbering early exclusive models 9511, 12, 13, 31 and 33 within what was to become the core range numbering system, Hotpoint effectively wrote off any full ranges ending with the numbers 1, 2 and 3, hence the jump to models ending in 4.

The numbering of late new generation machines in the next generation numbering range also messed things up a little - see the 9550, 9570, 9571 and 9900 in the other thread.

Further exclusive models would in future be numbered in their own 957X number range, started off with the 9570 and 9571 and later, when this filled up, the 977X range.

9527 800 DE LUXE

June 1992 and the AQUARIUS WASH SYSTEM arrives, with holes in the drum lifters to shower the clothes with water.

(thinking about it, it is likely that the 9517 - see earlier in the thread - was introduced as the budget non-AWS option)

A rare machine the 9527 and I don't have a photo of one. If anyone is able to oblige, feel free to post a piccy of one!

9529 800 DE LUXE

alongside the 9528, September 1993 also saw the introduction of the 9529 AQUARIUS ULTRA model.

Others will be able to explain the 'ULTRA' features, that the 9529 boasted over the 9528.

As with the 9527, the 9529 is a rare un' and I am dependent on the instruction manual line drawing ...

Hi Steve.

Thanks for your comment and glad you like the thread :-) Many more models to go - just hope I can stay the course!

953X's tomorrow.
