Well, the clock FIXED ITSELF!!! It is now keeping perfect time...at 67 years old!!LOL, I turned out 3 PERFECT cake layers for Kevins birthday cake, About the only thing I really need to get working is the oven light, I think I will get some new high temp wire and re wire the surface units, there had been some taping and patching done in the past, I redid it, but you could tell the lady must have taken the units out and cleaned under them many times, on these the whole assembly snaps out, trim ring unit and all, and flexing those old asbestos wires over the years has frazzled them, I replaced the left front unit as it didn't heat on but one coil, so everything seems to be fine, ive cooked on it all day and it has performed flawlessly.

obtaining hi temp oven wire

Whereabout would you locate a supplier for hi temp oven and range wire. You mean the kind that's sort of braided and looks like it's been covered with vinyl? Les

I am so happy for you. Sometimes the slight heat generated by the slowly turning clock motor is enough to liquify the old sticky lubricants and free up the clock works. I had great success using WD 40 and turbine oil with the sticky clock on my 1955 Westinghouse.
