Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Kenny -

Those are bearing installation tools for WP belt-drive and direct-drive centerposts.

These have been elusive for some people, in fact when I got mine a few years ago, I had to piece them together from several different sources. These look in nice shape!

Funny - in the pic, the top tool has some "extras" including an old-style black T-Bearing that sat on the C-clip (what a pain).

Spin bearing tools

That's what they are. I still have mine from the early 80s, including the spring-loaded removal tool. I have a direct drive machine, so I have decided to keep them. I would go to "as-is" auctions and see people practicaly get into fights over belt drive Whirlpools, paying as much as $50 (in the 80s!) for ones that were almost guaranteed broken. I never bought any at the auctions, but I got some as trade-ins and I fixed those. At the auctions I bought Frigidaire, Norge, Westinghouse, Speed Queen, Maytag and a few others for $2 to $10 each. It got to the point that I would bring a Whirlpool washer and trade it to another dealer for 5 of other brand washers. The most amazing thing was the wringer washers. I saw them go for as much as $100 to Mexican dealers who would take them to Tijuana.
