So today my local grocery store was clearing out of the small boxes of Sunlight laundry soap. 40 washes for $1.49. That’s a bargain because the regular price is $7.99.

It is not HE detergent. I have a speed queen series 8 and it calls for HE detergent. If I went ahead and used it would I be doing damage to my machine in any way?

I purchased a huge box of this detergent a few years ago at Big Lots here in the States, and used it in both my LG front-loader and my Miele. I was able to use generous amounts in both machines without sudsing problems, and I have mechanically softened water.

I FINALLY used up that box last month. Based on my experience, you shouldn’t have any problems at all in your SQ!

It is interesting that that detergent recommends applying a paste of the powder (mixed with water) directly to the stain on the garment.

UK powder detergents generally recommend not to do so.

Thank you everyone. I bought the last 6 boxes they had in store. I used it on 6 loads yesterday. Regular cycle and it worked beautifully. No suds issues at all!
