Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Rich and Charlie, your Air-Way twin-motor uprights are just beautiful. And Rich, your Baby looks like it's in really nice shape as well; very neat that it came with the original tools! One of these days you should put a few drops of lightweight oil in the motor, make sure it turns freely, and plug it in! :)

Hoover Conquest 507

I LOVE this machine!!! I wish we had this in the US! I especially like the flip carpet/floor tool!!

Hands off

my 507 you!!! I'll leave it in me will for you though :-)

So sorry to hear about your Portable, but at least you got a bargain U4003 now!

Thank you Elexomarty!

It's a lovely machine, and has barely been used. Until the 1980s, Hoover USA only did the Aerodyne and the 407 Holiday as standard type cylinders, no? There were far more Hoover cylinders in the UK for some reason, but Electroluxes were always more popular.

I think I saw that floor tool on a Canadian Handivac on Doug Smith's website. Wish we'd had that in the UK - the Hooverette/Lark is a cutie, but a bit lame in terms of actually being able to clean!

English vacuum cleaner

My wife's parents have a beach house whith a basement which flooded about a month ago. It is a four hour drive from Buenos Aires, but we went to give a hand for clean-up.

Inside a wooden wardrobe there was this big cloth bag. Look what I found inside. Pictures were taken as I found everything, meaning full of mud.

Complete tool set

My mother in law said the vacuum cleaner was mint before the flood. Belonged to her parents in law, probably bought in the '30's.
