Well as you all know, we just got back from our vacation. Along the way we picked up a few goodies. Well here they are.
Up first is this AirWay vacuum that I picked up at a junk shop in Erick, OK. It is missing the hose and attachments, but it works, and for $5.00 I couldn't resist.

We spent a couple days in Tulsa with my cousin. While we were there we went to several antique stores. There was one in Collinsville, OK that you kind of had to dig under things. Well I found this case. I wonder what is in it?

The bottom of the case appears to have gotten water damage at sometime. It likes to leave little particles of the particle board. I'll see if I can't remove the material and make a new case and attach the material to it.
Once I opened the case up I found this Styrofoam tray of attachments. It is missing the little dust brush.

The jukeboxes came from a gentlemen that had them for about 10 years. He and his wife were downsizing to a townhouse and needed to sell them. I had contacted him about a month prior to the vacation. We chatted for awhile, and he said he would hold them for me(a rare Craigslist seller). Since they wouldn't fit in my van standing up, I had my dad(in Minnesota) purchase a trailer for me. Once we got there to Minnesota, we towed the trailer to where the Jukeboxes were. Since it was an open trailer and we had about 1700 miles to travel back home, we figured we might run into some rain(and boy did we). So first we wrapped the black one with a foam mattress pad, and then a comforter. We put that at the front of the trailer and strapped it down. The green one we wrapped that with two comforters and up against the black one it went. Both strapped down. Plastic sheet over both of them and then for good measure we threw a tarp over that. Needless to say, they arrived home with no issues.

We picked up some other things, and I brought home some more radios, that were being stored at my dad's. I need to clean them up first.

What Justin Isn't Telling You:

That Compact Electra still has one part that is always missing - the little grille that snaps into the opening of the upholstery nozzle. I nearly dropped my teeth when I saw that - the grille to my upholstery nozzle was a year's search and fifteen bucks all by itself. And that cast-aluminum floor tool and the matching rug tool are also usually gone, as well as being high-dollar HTF items. Justin's are still there.

Justin is a lucky guy!

Justin -

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a dusting brush in turquoise for you!

The original one for your machine looked just like this, only turquoise. If one turns up with worn-out bristles, the bristles are replaceable separately.

Nice AMI

My niece has one the bass speaker faces down underneath.Good machines! That little Philco is adorable, probably a 1941 model. The first 2 numbers of the model number usually denotes the year made.Nice haul!!!!!

what a vacation haul...

When I was a kid the neighbors had an Airway Sanitizer. When you removed the disposable bag you sealed it with these little Airway Sanitizer skull & crossbones stickers that said "WARNING THIS BAG CONTAINS DANGEROUS HOUSEHOLD FILTH."

The AMi boxes are really nice with their flip-over record playing mechanisms. I saw one of those where the fluorescent bulb was replaced with LED strips and it looked very cool.

Cool jukeboxes! One of these days, I'm gonna find one to work on. Those are just too cool looking and glad you packed them to survive the trip. Did they come loaded with records?

Pity, I didn't know about your trip. I'd have paid you to transport something from Minneapolis intact instead of just getting the important pieces like I ended up doing...

Drew. I would have been more than happy to haul it for you. I had posted on here before I left and therefore delivered a wards washer from Phoenix to Waterloo, IA for Ben and then picked up a turquoise Lady Kenmore set in Tulsa for Ben as well. While in MN I also picked up a Pink Maytag washer for Kevin. I think my van was free of any washers for about a totatl of 2 days. Unfortuneatly none for me.
