Been taking pics with my new camera and thought I'd start sharing some of the crap I own. We'll start in the kitchen.

I believe this set of canisters came from Sears. I call the color "Bethann Pink."

Chrome Street

GE Toast-R-Oven which I love, Presto percolator, Harvest Gold Hot Shot, Kenmore (Knapp-Monarch) blender, and Sunbeam Vista Mixmaster. These are the appliances I use on a daily basis.
When the sun comes in the window, better put on your Ray-Bans.

Cookbooks, Etc.

That odd orange coffee pot is a West Bend Fiesta Perk. Ole!
My grandmother's cake toter, Presto corn popper, GE waffle iron, the set of Mary Margaret McBride cookbooks my parents got when they were first married. The hot roll mix and Chillee Willee are both new.

More vintage smalls

This shelf runs the whole way across my Family Room. Haven't filled it up yet, but I'm working on it! The curtains were made by yours truly, and they don't look half bad, either.
That electric fry pan is a Presto Cook 'n Serv' that's great. It's the heaviest aluminum fry pan I've ever seen.

Coffee, anyone?

The glass perc is not a Proctor Silex, but a Sunbeam Vista. makes nice hot coffee, but the spout is too drippy. The chrome perc is another Vista that I got NIB. It still has the "US Steel" sticker on it. The electric knife is a Lady Vanity.

The Floor Care Team

Electrolux upright, Hoover Swingette that doesn't seem to have much power, which really, well, sucks, and the NIB Hoover Floor Mate like burpalator has but Pete doesn't ;)

I don't think I've ever seen one of those older Hoover Floor Mates before, does it work well? I have pondered about getting one of the new ones but that machine looks very substantial in comparison.. BTW..I got a Hoover Portapower today..and it appears to be the same thing as your Swingette...here's a pic

I almost missed it... we have the same GE Waffle Iron as well..LOL Isn't that weird, when I was out this afternoon I was thinking about making waffles, haven't done for a long time.

Great pics!

I love the pics Veg, and I do have that same Floor-A-Matic!

If your Swingette is lacking suction it could be a couple of things. One is the bag is really clogged.
The other is it may be missing a motor gasket. Easy fix...take out the screws and seperate the halves. There should be a rubber gasket encircling the motor. If not, there's your problem.
You can make a new gasket out of any heavy foam or rubber weatherstripping.
The motor in that Swingette is the same as used in the suitcase portable and slimline cleaners, and the upright Dial-A-Matic

Thanks for sharing all the neat pictures Veg!! You have a wonderful collection. Very neat way of displaying them too. Jeff's suggestion for the Hoover Swingette is excellent, let us know if it helps. Terry

Very nice collection Veg. And they all look to be in MINT condtion too. Thanks for sharing... Now how about a nice shot of you with your favorite can opener??? (:

Wonderful collection! And you have both the Presto frypan and percolator with the (much less seen) white handles/trim! Very cool!

My Flooramatic is a kind of icky orange from 1984, but it hadn't been used much when I got it and I love it! I think there was an early one done in the tan type colors with a headlight (or did I dream this Jeff?) that would be wonderful to have!

Granny had a GE Toast-R-Oven like that. Much fun, with that pop-open top.

I swear I remember Mom had a turquoise coffee maker similar to that orange one. And she had a similar cake carrier, but with three grooves etched around the cover.
