Very pretty and expensive KDC-14

In Lisbon, CT. Did these dishwashers really have a space for an optional rinse dispenser but no detergent dispenser?

 

The same seller has a beautiful Tappan gas wall oven in stainless with a built-in rotisserie. These came from a house with owners I would have liked to know.
