7 min clip, about 22 MB. It should stream, but those on dial-up who are patient will get better playback if downloaded/saved local.

Apologies for the wonky jiggling that happens for a few mins at the start of the wash. I wasn't much experienced with the video camera, digital image stabilization was enabled and tried to compensate for what it thought was a problem, LOL.

Look momma! There's rollover!

Woow that's action in the washtub... I can't see any problems with washabillity or gentleness... lik to see a full cycles, fun to see fun to wash....

now thats a video

thats what we all wanted to see.. from load up to the actual wash..
great video..
from the video, it appears that the machine does do an efficient job... are you happy with its performance?
thanks for the 4 star video..

I am really drawn to these machines having now seen several in action on here. I always wanted the GE Harmony but this looks like much more fun. Incidentally, how were the results of the 'whitest whites' was - there were some grubby items in that load!

Now there's something most of us don't get to see often---a Calypso at work. Very interesting action. They call it nutating, eh? I'm amazed at how well it turns a load over in so little water. Given the snail's pace of the turnover in my '06 Frigidaire TL'er, I've come to appreciate a machine that turns things over a bit more gradually.

Thanks for posting it, Glenn!

Definitely Worth the Download and Save

Thanks for sharing that video demo. After downloading and saving to my external drive, it's always there to play any time I need something else to kill bordom while helping to satisfy my craving for all those neato and nifty washer sounds.--Laundry Shark

I still think it's bizarre, like something that a mad scientist came up with! The nutator (is that what's its called?) looks like something you would see Sue Johansen demonstrating on her television show! I give it 4 briquets!

That was a great video, thanks for taking the time to make it for us! As others have said, it's not everyday you see one of these in action!

The first time I observed a "Collapse-O" in action was John Lefever's and I was very impressed with its roll-over capabilities. While visiting, I did numerous loads and I thought the machine was very capable. John is of the opinion that it washes jeans better than any machine out there. He should know since he wears them to work---doing appliance repair every day.

Need to use a low-suds detergent though----otherwise years of bubble/scum builds up under the underside of the interior. And with the interior humidity all kinds of (stankie) cooties start growing!(Especially if the lid is always closed). I can vouch for it too, as I have one----that works perfectly----and has horrible "breath" due to this situation. (Cleaning it with Clorox Clean-Up is on my "to-do" list.)John explained to me that many people are getting rid of their "Collapse-o's" for that very reason! I don't know if they can't find anyone to clean them out for them or they are frustrated with inability to control the suds.Or both.

Any way-----thanks for the video! Much better than this mornings news!

Yay, Shark!!

Thank you for the fixed link!! :-D

Steve R. -- ROTF!!! "Stankie cooties." EWW!

Makes me think they should have included the Frigidairian "Rinse + Sanitize" cycle :-)

I still think it's the best cleaning washer I've ever owned...including my Frigidaire Gallery front loader that I had for 4 years. The Frigidaire couldn't match its washing abilities with extra large, stained washloads. Fortunately, I've never in 6 years had problems with molds or mildew, but I do use bleach in it for a couple of loads each week...maybe that helps. But it's quiet and extremely capable. I especially like the way it does whites...and the heavy duty cycle is a godsend for gardening clothes, car rags, etc.

I think the main reason people had so much trouble with these machines, besides the fact that they had a couple of parts quality flaws, is that they were a radically new way to wash, and people just don't adjust to change all that well. They certainly don't understand the technology cause it's different from anything they've ever owned before. Personally, I've never had anything but clean clothes out of it, it's never ruined anything, and I even wash fine silk shirts in it with no problem using the handwash cycle. For it's time, it was very different, but also very expensive, and expensive to repair. And low sudsing detergent is a must, though I've been using Ariel and Ace powders, which do suds somewhat, with excellent results. Ariel is an amazing detegent. I plan on keeping the Calypso until it just won't run any more!

Oh, and one more thing.....for all of it's energy efficiency, it does not dumb down the hot water temps, and it does a full, normal load in 40 - 45 minutes. Never any waiting between washer and dryer. Laundry days seem to fly by. (I realize that's not always a positive thing with this group!)
