The part my 11 year old GE range needs is no longer available. I can not use my oven above 350 for more than a half an hour or it shuts down.

The 50 year old GE 36 inch P7 range in my sister house still works. The one with the oven window heat shield you pull up before setting the clean cycle.
Cabins up north are inexpensive, one can wash clothes on a wash board, boil the water on a fire pit, or fire place, and cook on them. Fire wood, fresh and well water, Deer, fish, rabbit are plenty too.
Get a good diesel generator, some solar panels, maybe even make bio diesel fuel, and you can live off the grid. Most areas now have cellular service, and internet access, or you can use an air plug in card. Cable tv or stream from computer or Roku, etc.
Ya never know either, the way things seem at times, may even become a survival necessity, short of an emp or nuke attack.
