Spin Tube Dishwasher, congratulations Richard, very interesting machines, they do work pretty well, the force from the large pump is tremendous, just that all the cork seals and pipes on mine had pretty much rotted and need replacing!!

Its definately a strip down and replace job, there was more water flowing outside than inside me thinks, have you tried yours yet??, was never sure wether the fine filter acts as the detergent dispenser as well for the powder etc..,

do you have any pics of yours as i think mine may be a bit later, it has a top spray flume but i think it may have a broken top? also i noticed in the centre of the top rack is a hook perhaps for a detergent cup? does anyone have instructions ?

W O W!

When I asked for a peak at your kitchen I had no idea it was going to look like that! It is just amazing - i adore the floor tiles and those wall cabinets with the frosted glass sliding doors remind me of my Mum's kichen when I was very small. I reckon I would sleep in there if it was mine!!! Thanks for the visual feast!

LOVE your kitchen Ricky!! I have similar taste as you, although I am more 60's than 50's. Luckily I live in a 60's high rise and already have the vintage fitted cupboards, round sink with supataps, electric laundry drying cupboard... All original from when the block was built. I remember seeing one of those Colston dishwashers in the kitchen of sheltered accomodation block my nana lived in before she died, it was never used, and still had a packet of dish washing detergent from new. Shame we can't find no Colston washers around no more, used to love my mums Colston Concorde and my nans Colston Coronette. Where did you get those Marley floor tiles from? My kitchen has had the original tiles taken up as there was a flood a few years ago, although the rest of my flat has Marley tiles down (in lovely olive colour with black flecks) lol.
