I made quite a few of those Chef Boy-Ar-Dee pizza mixes as an adolescent. I did it mostly because I found it fun to do. I remember the sauce being very acidic.  They are still being sold.

When I was a kid, Saturday was pizza day at lunchtime. We would have Chef Boy-ar-dee with extra pepperoni my mom sliced and added. It's been quite a few years since I've made one.
