Vintage Maytag Dryer ID (cont. from thread 34837)

I have the serial number, if anyone is able to assist.
602034 MU (or is it MO - it was hard to read).

Again, it's electric, and I'm trying to identify approximate year.

MU date code

Date code "MU" looks like July, 1964 based on the chart that I have (M = '64 and U = July.) "O" was not used for date codes as far as I can tell.

That sounds like a nice dryer. As mentioned on the other thread, I would open the cabinet and reoil the drum bearings and moving parts. "Zoom Spout" turbine oil is a good one. 3 in 1 electric motor oil is another good one to use (blue bottle - not red.) These dryers were very similar to newer Maytag models made through about '75 but some parts are drying up now.
