Vintage Norge Electric Clothes Dryer (Muhlenberg Twp)

Someone with some skill, isn't this worth saving from the scrap yard (posted 5 hours ago as of 3/2/2012 - 9:32PM) And owner is sensitive to value to someone:

" I have a vintage Norge by Borg Warner clothes dryer I'd like to get rid of. I hate to take it to the scrap yard as it's a neat old appliance that must be worth something to someone. This machine was hard wired into the electrical system of my house when I moved in, so the cord is cut and would need a new plug wired onto the end of it. Before I disconnected it the machine turned on and lit up however the drum would no longer turn. It worked great for months until the drum stopped rotating. It's in pretty good shape considering it's around 60 years old. As the photos show there is a minor amount of surface rust on one side but otherwise it's in good condition cosmetically. I don't know what this thing is worth, if anything, so if you're interested in it email me and let me know what it might be worth to you. Thanks and let me know if you would like any additional information. "

My mother had the matching washing machine to this dryer. It's one of my early memories of washing machines. Would be cool to have the matching dryer, but way too far away for me. Plus I only have a hookup for gas in my house.

Hope someone from the site gets it.

I like so many different washers, dryers, and dishwashers, but learning what is better to use and others are better as "props".

That said, I like your Norge. The lines just speak to me in design. They're not flashy and maybe underwhelming compared to the Frigidaire products, which have been winning more of my attention.

I hope it gets it mate.
