I believe its from '52 or '53 Kevin and it should be very similar, but this machine uses more water I believe with a LOOOONG powerful spray rinse, YAY!

Most likely the '57 Speed Queen 
, but I put a lot of new parts in their which will have to be transferred to this new machine.
Good thing I have nice strong Fred as a helper, Dr. said no heavy lifting for me for three to six months due to an sports injury on my arm.

Sorry to hear about your arm. Popped two tendons in my left arm 5 years ago and healed on it own.

I think this might be the oldest SQ automatic in existence! Looking forward to more pics.
Eddie - I believe you are correct! Unbelievable to think that this washer was possibly being used up until this year.

I wonder did SQ use two motors for its first model as opposed to solenoids like other early Beam machines from the 1940s????? I suspect not but I guess we will find out tonight.
