Ferndale is where my mom took me or my sister and I to shop, er...50 plus years ago. You'd park out in front in a separately created parking area, running parallel to the main drag, Woodward Avenue. There was this department store called Federals....alot of good memories about Ferndale....much different today, but so is everywhere else.
I can imagine why the prices are high there, as Ferndale is near Royal Oak, where development skyrocketed in the last 15 years.
I'lll be going back to Michigan this summer ; will try to visit this place, if I can. Oh, and the Salvation Army store in Royal Oak - the prices are waaaay over the top, too.
Actually, you should check out Royal Oak, and then not further much down the road, going north on Livernois, you should check out this place that my sister and I visited:
Your link didn't work and googling it their hours say "closing soon" . A lot of these neat eclectic type stores never seem to last too long. But then another one opens.. it's just trying to find them while they exist.
Hi Petek - that's really odd, because it worked for me fine, above, if I click or right click and open it, it goes right to their website. They have been there a while - Just some trivia side note: The building they are in was the Clawson Roller Rink, where, for some Tuesday of the month, we were shuttled in a church bus, and had roller skating for a couple hours..which I liked better than square dancing.
Their website is having problems. In fact I didn't have trouble the first time and did the second time, so going to Facebook, they verified a problem and nothing about closing. It's a cool place, I think you'd enjoy it.
