Well, the motor I had done by the electric place started spraying oil from the end bell, so I just found one on ebay that had the pulleys attached..it ended up being a GE motor, so it took some work to make the pump attachment work. During the test run, the tub drain hose leak I patched moved towards the pump...and then sparks popped and the breaker blew...it turned out water was leaking from the fill valve hose onto the connections and caused it..I manually drained the water and pushed it back in the furnace room for it to dry out..I hope the motor is ok and all the other electrical parts...I have all the luck!..(plus I think the GE motor had something to do with it)
Then later I plugged it back in, the lights still work (good) so with it unplugged I set the timer, plugged it back in and shut the door with a broomstick (never touch any electric device if you are not sure of chance of shock) and sparks flew from the door....the door switch is toast..after taking the front panel off the door boot worked its way loose and must of allowed water to get to the door switch [this post was last edited: 3/14/2016-19:14]
