Brought it home December 26th and one month later on January 26th, its ready for its test run! The drain hose I got was a universal one that cant be tightened enough and one of the fill hoses I got has a clog in it! (back to the store tomorrow) Used a Y adapter at the faucet to run all-hot water. It fills up, but the timer does not seem to be moving as it washes far longer than what the cycle times listed on the inside of the door. The pump works, though the solenoid is loud as expected and it spins, though the spin solenoid sounded like it got stuck. Tomorrow Ill get new hoses and check all the other ones again for more tests!

Inside of tub on pix 1 looks like iron water settled. My neighbor had a much newer Laundromat given to them years ago and had the same issue. Iron out on low level, hot fill stop and go in there with a non abrasive scrubbie cleared the tub up and it worked like a charm, never stained anything until it finally died last year when rust finally killed everything.

Iron Water Stain

I had a Maytag several years ago that had the tub stained with Iron. Went to Ace Hardware and got some "Iron Out" and it cleaned it right up. That is one beautiful machine. They are great washers - I have a "Space-Mate" and use it every week.

Looking good!!  I never noticed the red tub paddles before - neat!

I hope the timer frees up and that it's not the timer motor that is shot (that happened to both of the Laundromats I have restored, alas)

iron

this has always been a problem here, as this is a 1890s farm house with a very old well, and anywhere water lies,i get iron stains.but that's life, also jerry did in a month what I never got around too in 25 yrs. VERY NICE !

More testing today...there is a water leak on the tub end of the hose from the tub to the pump...Ill put some goop on it. The timer does advance and go through the entire cycle. There is some oil leaking out of the motor, even though I had it redone before installing it and cant figure out why the boot is crooked, even though when I installed it it looked good. Thanks to everyone for your kind comments and getting this far!

More testing..

The timer advances through the cycles and there is a leak in the hose from the tub to the pump...have to put goop on that. I have to figure out why the boot is twisted, the way it is now it directs the water to the door and it drips out of the bottom of the door. The rust stains will be cleaned and soon it will be ready for its first load. Thanks to everyone for your kind comments and help for getting this far!
