Anyone else REALLY annoyed that we lost WABC channel 7 today? And on Oscar night to boot. I don't know who to believe, Cablevision or Channel 7, but it's ridiculous! It was bad enough to lose HGTV and FOOD Network for a month in January, but another Channel?

Revenue to major broacast networks has fallen like a rock.

They are desperately trying to milk money out of cable TV providers.

From what I can tell the increase ABC wants is exhorbidant (sp?)

Once again technolgy and the web changing life as we know it!

ABC Was Resumed

Shortly after the Oscars began.

According to published reports Disney and Cablevision reached an "agreement" in principle.

Sad news for moi, Time Warner's contact with Disney is up this summer. So we shall see what there is to see then.

Mine is still not on

I went fishing earlier today and set my satilite chanel 4 (ABC)to record the Oscars in case we got back late.120 fish and 86 miles later,we got back about 7:09 PM and as I turned on my bube tube,it read "No need to call us,we're already aware this station is not working. We're working on that now. Please don't call."So,even though it's recording, all it will show is that same damned screan instead of the Oscars. This happened last year too. What's up??? I thought DirecTV was reliable but,so far, they suck.
