Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That reminds me...

I have to call Miele to see if there is anything left on my 3 year extended warranty.

After they replaced the Brand New 4842 due to a bad Main Bearing, through much hemming amd hawing, I bought a extended warranty. I believe once it's up, it is NOT renewable.

It has had a few Computer Glitches that shutting the machine down, unplugging it for a few minutes seem to restore it back to operating use.

I have found that as large as the cylinder is, it washes and rinses much better when only 3/4 full. And thanks to Alex (logixx) he sent me the service manual which I have programmed the machine on "Water Plus".

They sent a really great guy from New Jersey the last time it needed to be diagnosed. I believe the man's name was Sheldon.

He couldn't have been nicer. Should I need to summons Sheldon again, I'll be sure to have a Credit Card with no balance on it.

Well it would wouldn't it?

When contemplating the Miele 4XXX series read the owner's manual cover to cover and what stood out was the advice to only load the tub three-quarters full even on "normal". IIRC one even began a thread about it. Well that put me off for a start, I mean what is the point of having uber-capacity drum if you can only use 75%?

Am glad however you made peace with our Miele. Wondered if you chucked them or something...

Just do what I do.

I put charges, I'm kinda unsure of, on my American Express card.

If things go south, I just call and in two seconds, it's removed from my bill. Makes thing's so much easier for me.

Mich :)

The local Frigidaire/Maytag dealership has begun carrying Samsung appliances. I checked the owner's manual for one of the non-behemoth models with a 4.5 cu. ft. tub and as with Miele, it said to load no more than 3/4 full. First time I've seen that. Thought one of the benefits of horizontal axis washing was the ability to fill the tub completely.

I don't think there is anything wrong with holding a card. The held amount is taken off or credited to your meal or service once the reservation is complete. I just had a squirrel trap removed from my attic and that company also held the card. Restaurants do it also when you make reservations, so I have no problem with this.
