Hello Everyone,

So my spin dryer came last night and I used it for the first time today. So exciting!! I am using it with a 500 W step up / down transformer. It's been used twice. I noticed that afterwards, running for three to five minutes each time that the bottom of the metal tub felt warm to the touch. Could anyone who owns a spin dryer tell me if this is normal after usage?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I noticed the same thing years ago when I bought a pair of disco pants. Frictional heating comes from things rubbing together. Not everything is meant to rub together, if you know what I mean.

My life improved considerably after I quit wearing those disco pants.

Usually those things have a duty cycle of 1:3 or 1:4!
So you use it for 5 minutes at best and then let it cool for 15-20 minutes before re-using it. The motors are usually not vented and undersized for continuous use, hence the why of this behaviour.
