Eddie "toploader55" and John "coldspot" came for dinner and a Wash In last nite;  and a surprise too!

 

John wanted to borrow my 1956 GE and play for awhile with it, he grew up with a similar GE as a kid.

 

Thats 1957 Cheer he's pouring  in there and as I find out John is a " pourer and 'Pan avoider" !! oh the shame!

Eddie brought the

Vino -- and NO laundry-- BTW!! Tsk tsk!
 He also brought tall Restaurant tales!! Seems we worked next door to each other 30 years ago in Boston!!!!! Mom & I had one of the best meals of my life at a little place called "Cybele's" - turns out Eddie was the Chef and could remember about what I had that night when I began to describe it!!!

MINT condition, it's missing the 18 pound Mini Tub for ST8 Vane so I am now in the MARKET PLACE for all you Hoaders out there!!

I think it's a 68 or 69; the serial # is hard to read. I met with my lawyer this morning and you are duly noted in the will about returning the "56 to it's rightful owner!!!!!!!!!!! BASTARD!!!!!!!!!

Does this guzzler advance from soak to pre-wash, automatically ? I see that pesky OFF sign on the dial?

I haven't used that feature yet but I think Greg mentioned that it does advance, we'll see as I am going to put "Beryl" through her paces !!!

Jon, intuition says you're right.

I just ran up to #7 and saw the SOAK button. I bet if you press "Beryl's " button, she'll soak to wash.

Even the matched color coding, tan for normal button matches OFF on the main dial. Ah! GE, so subtle with intelligence.

Looks like it was an enjoyable wash-in. I love that Filter Flo! I love lots of buttons too!!
