In my Dyson

Coloreds - cottons 40oc, 1400 A class spin, dirt & stains with extra rinse.

whites, towels and bedding - cottons 50oc or 60oc, 1400 A class spin, dirt & stains with extra rinse.

Denim, hoodies, shirts etc - synthetics 40oc, 1100 spin, dirt & stains with extra rinse.

Occasional wool wash at 40oc with 800 spin.

Duvets - Duvet program 60oc or 40oc, 800 spin with extra rinse.

I always use extra rinse to get three rinses, for my sensitive skin, however recently I haven't been selecting extra rinse on any of the cycles, and no problems :)

my samsung top loader has a memory function where i can make my own program. i use that most of the time. 30 min wash, 1 rinse as i dint use fabric softener, and 6 min spin. i use cold water and the new zealnd Xpert washing powder. when i have a full denim load i either use fuzzy or blanket. and when i have the day befores clothes i use the eco+ cycle. bedding gets done on blanket but with a warm wash. same for towels. i do the whites in my LG turbo drum on the jean cycle with warm water and Skip perfect white washing powder. set it to soak, wash, rinse, spin

Spin speeds:  I use High for most cotton loads, Max for white underwear and socks, medium for Perma press and delicates, medium for jeans.  One thing about the speeds is that even though you may select high for jeans or perma press you will only get the last 30 seconds at the high speed.  The spin speeds before that will be a combination of burst spins, and low or  medium speeds until the last 30 seconds. There are no interim spins in Jeans and delicates programs.
