Washed Iphone, the update

Ok- as I promised- an update on my washed Iphone. I decided to let it dry for two months. The thing was dead and would not turn on, still. I decided to plug it in to charge. Nothing. I made the dumb mistake of forgetting about it, lol. I come back 24 hours latter and the phone was screaming hot. A plastic type smell if you put your nose close to it. I unplug it, it cools, and still nothing. Sadly, I think the phone is completely dead. Oh well, at least I can say that I tried everything before calling it quits.

If the phone gets wet, it needs to be opened ASAP and worked on if you have any chance of saving it. Even then there is no guarantee, but the hope that it will dry out on its own without damage is very unlikely. Allowing it to sit and hold moisture inside will certainly destroy any chance it will be usable again

Wonder if the battery in it has failed-or has a short on it-since the phone was hot.At this point-may be better to scrap it and get another-or another type of phone.Was the phone set covered under any kind of insurance?
