Washers and being Gay

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

As several others have said, I thikn it's just sheer coincidence that there's a large number of queer men as members on this group. I got interested in all things mechanical from a young age, long before I knew whether I preferred men or women, and I'm still interested now - be it appliances, cars, whatever :-)

As for the other, I'm a queer man with a kid, just to be confusing! And I'll happily talk to anyone should they wish to listen or talk - just ask Jon, he knows that...

What about being bear and love washers and dishwashers?

Hi again. Not every bear seems to have interests on washing machines and dishwashers. My husbear for instance loves to leave the sink full with dirty dishes, cutlery and pots and pans despite the fact I'we spent hours trying to learn him how to load a dishwasher. The same for the washing machine! He thinks clothes must be put inside alltogether regadless of color, fabrics etc. Anyway he's always ready when it's time to help me saving a trashed machine from the dumpster or help me change bearings to one of my Mieles and watch for hours and hours bewitched on tv! This is real love!!! And the icing on cake is he loves to iron!!!
P.S.Just for the record, I'm a gay bear and I love to have a properly cleaned cave...eveybody is welcome to visit!

Bearpeter, he defintely has all the other attributes. WOOF!!!

Hey, I've drooled over Matt for a very long time!! Elder beaers first lol.

And that's why!

I've got a blog, where I join together othere Italian washer's lovers like me taken around the web...(vero Marco? :-))
and here it is the link

http://vivalalavatrice.blog.tiscali.it/

I promise them several times I would have written an article speaking about Washer&Sex... so I waited to be suer to have in the hands the right prompts and informations to do it as well!

This thread then helped me alot!

THANKS TO ALL THUS! To have explained and to have talked aobout an argument that generally is not always so considered...

That article is in Italian, but in if you go through it down to the bottom you will find where I mentioned this website! At the end even thanks to have read this thread I could write the artice...

I start speking aout the history of the laundry and how it became mechanical... then why doesn't it became a UNIsex due?!?!? I said because of the experiences acquired by the women in the centuries...
Then when not only the machines have takne the place of our arms the electronic technologies have taked the place of our mind... then "Feminist" women and 1968 (year of Youth Contestation), made the social changement...

Nowadays I suppose it doesn't make any difference whether is a man or a woman who put the laundry in the washer or the dishes in the dishwasher... at the end the machine do the job for us...

So, for me... GAY is a thing concernig yourself...
DO THE WASH... it depends on your lifestyle

NO LINK BETWEE THEM!

Goodbye all and wish to continue to enjoy with appliances as we've alwasy done! :-))

Diomede

PS: The most here already know whether gay/str8... When I will discover it don't worry I'll say you here as soon! At the age of 23 yo I still don't know... :-???

sum up

Wooofff....so many comments!!!! Cannot refer to all of them anymore but still have some comments I'd like to add - smile!
The thing about sexual orientation and behaviour to be payed attention to in North America is typical for protestant societies. Historically spoken just look onto the behaviour of the catholic church during the end of the middle-ages.... There were a lot of people who did not accept this behaviour at all and therefore split from the global church, namely the roman-catholic. People like Martin Luther, Calvin and others had to hide themselves or were burnt, because of their religious critizism on the church. They wanted a more true church again: clean and true religious. In some way they had the same target like the radical moslems, we fear so much, have today - they want to proselytize the world to their universe. Same happened at the end of the middle-ages in Europe and ended in the 30years-war (1618-1648) that nearly devastated whole Germay and killed 5/6th of the population! That's why I do not accept ANY religion for myself at all! Religion is always a kind of psycho-control and always is a thing of intolerance as it can only exist by excluding all persons from the group that do differ, because differentness is the enemy of all clubs, or it will fall apart and finally vanish!
Those who could not gain influence in the society in the old days with their "better" religious behaviour had to flee - and many of them did so - into the New World. It is obvious that the north-american society is affected by the protestant roots of their origin!
Next thing I'd like to comment: Yes I do also believe that it has nothing to do with being gay, if you are interested in household-appliances! Keep in mind: ALL machines (except the two stage glas coffee-makers like Cona, which was develloped by a french woman in the 19th century) were develloped and invented, as far as I know, by MEN FOR WOMEN!!! Women should never forget that when they complain next time about hoovering the house!!! If men hadn't invented all these nice little helpers they still might scrub floors by hand and do the washing on a wash-board! lol
I guess that my interest in household appliances are a consequence of getting intersted in technical stuff when I was a child. I broke up all toy-cars and toy-lorries to understand the inside, constructed so many machines and vehicles with LEGO, had a model railway and model steam engine with which I used to play as often as possible. Also I was very much fond of fire! My granny had still coal-fire heating (we had only boring central oil-heating!!) and a kitchen-range plus a gas-range of which I was absolutely fascinated since I was two!
My mom used to send the washing abroad as we had no washer but my granny and all neighbours did it by the help of huge copper-boilers, wringer-washers and stuff, in the basement of the houses - absolutely fascinating for me!
So, until today I'm addicted to steam-locomotives, steam-engines, antique cars, antique technology & knowledge, antique furnitures and household appliances! And I don't think it has anything to do with being gay! Before my coming-out I lived 10,5 years with a woman! Shame on me, lol!
What I like on old techniques and stuff is the simplicity but also complexity with which they work - and they always did and do a really good job - often better than "design stuff" nowadays. These old things are really smart and clever and also mostly very handy, too.
Cuming to bears know......wooof - really nice creatures!!! Especially those with muscles and into leather-gear.......wooohooo!!! And if such a specimen turns up on a bike......I'm near to unconciousness! And really! Haven't we all learned from childhood on: a good boy should always share with others?? lol
Wishing all of you a perfect week-end!

Honey and Miele

Hi Ralf. Interesting message! I bet your granny washing machine was a Miele! I'm really in love with everything that bears the Miele name!!! After all I'm a bear and what does a bear like most? Honey of course (The italian word for honey is "miele"!!!)Understood the trick on word?

a little dabbling here, a little dabbling there.....

The most here already know whether gay/str8... When I will discover it don't worry I'll say you here as soon! At the age of 23 yo I still don't know... :-???

....and you don't have to choose one side, either. A "preference" does not mean you can't or won't do the other.

So....... with regard to the honey (and the honey-pot!) Momma always said if it smells good and looks good when they put it in front of you, eat it~~ and don't ask too many questions.

:-)

response.....

Hello Marco!
Unfortunately my grandmother had two hydro-pressure motor (water-motor) driven machines from, as far as I remember, HOLIGHAUS or RITTERSHAUS (woodden tub agitator machines with cylinder-motor on top of the lid and with wooden hand-wringer) whereas our landlady at home had a MIELE (spoken: meela) namely a No.35, wooden tub agitator one with electric motor underneath and woodden hand-wringer.
And of course I understand the double-meaning! I do understand a lot of Italian as I speak French, English, Spanish and had Latin at school, too! Not only in Italian "miele" is honey but in French, too! Spanish: "miel". But it doesn't have that meaning in German; in German "honey" is: "Honig".
But when it cum's to bears, they really like honey - that's true! Particulary special honey....>g<
And, yes, Toggelswitch, you are right! Try what you like best Vivalalavatrice! Only thing to keep in mind: don't hesitate to DO it! And as often as you like!
So, finally again: to all of you nice guys and mates (and girls if there are any here??) Happy Week-End!!!
Still a question: is there anybody arround at Miami, Fort Lauderdale next week-end? We are coming over to visit friends and see Barbra Streisand in concert!
Ralf

I bet behind a switch that toggles there is my friend Daio Midi from Italy....Isn't it? Hi dear! Nice to meet you here! I think the question of choosing what field is most suitable for you to walk on is not so simple. For me it's not a matter of what you choose but what you do feel you're attracted from. So what does attract you more? Do you feel that special sensation on the south of your stomach when a pretty girl comes and approaches you or when you see a nice goodlooking guy who also happen to like washing machines?

and behind curtain No1 is the illustrious Ms. Toggle...

I bet behind a switch that toggles there is my friend Daio Midi from Italy....Isn't it? Hi dear! Nice to meet you here!

*LOL* Glad to hear I remind you of a freind, but truly, truly I say unto to you, I am a New Yorker from the United States of Greek ancestry.

and you can call me

hmmm

"I thikn it's just sheer coincidence that there's a large number of queer men as members on this group."

I think when we all come back in another life we should place all our interest and efforts toward some other, perhaps more appropriate, appliances...

-Sausage making appliances ?

-roto-rooters ?

-bubblers (water fountains)

-jaccuzi's

We need to plan now!
send out Emails to that special email list we are ALL part of.

I thikn it's just sheer coincidence that there's a large number of queer men as members on this group.

Rule-of-thumb: In any organization, the attitude of the "top" levels trickles down.

Coincidence?

AHEM. See homepage.
PINK and-and-down post (with colorful rings) in a big box surrounded by liquid.

Freudian?

The second I saw that, I just KNEW it was a flock of wayward sisters.

Diomede,

I think the general conclusion is that there is no link between liking washers and being gay. But my thesis is that there is actually a link between collecting washers and being gay. The reason is gay men actually have more freedom to do in their lives what they want than most straight men. Is that a theory that you could dwell on?

Make love not war. and I want what she has......

The reason is gay men actually have more freedom to do in their lives what they want than most straight men.

....and if I may expand opon this a bit, it would explain all the grief we get as a class. Envy /jealousy of our freedom. Think about this one, once you have broken society's biggest rule, all the rest come easier.
