This video of a cool old house vacant since 1973 shows an early automatic, but I do not know what it is. Can anyone help? It is at 9:47 in the attached video.

I thought GE at first as well, but the lid doesn't look right for a GE. I wonder if it could be rare. It is not a WP/KM, and that is for sure!

Just noticed a good shot of it at 9:31, as well. Too bad the photographer isn't into washers....

This house is on a penninsula in Maryland if I remember right. It's like 8 acres it's called the Winderbourne mansion.

Was $895 or so, the last time it was listed. It was on Zillow a while back.

It's a cute house but since there is a train track next to it and commercial RE nearby, it's no longer the desirable location it was when it was built.

Rescue? Not me Kenny! But someone who lives in the area, should try to see if it is possible to save the Norge washer. The house, cars and everything else are absolute scrap.

It's a Norge

The lid hinge mechanism and the agitator top gives that away, as does the top overhanging at the back by just an inch. Furthermore, the round basket opening under the lid is flat at the front. I can't give an exact date, but it was before the 1970s when Norge switched to the side opening lid.

Norge side-opening lid

Robert, that actually changed with their new 14 lb./15 lb models brought out for 1964 line.  We had the DispensoMat model in that new line.

Wow! The machine in the abandon house, does look like the machine in the video posted by GSOHoover. Perhaps it is the same model/year. Interesting!
