Washing machine brand and year?

Close-ups and I noticed a vacuum amongst the clutter.

 

 

It still isn't clear what that is in the corner.  Could it be a dryer with the top missing? 

Otherwise, because it's thinner than the washer and has what appears as a timer knob to the right side of the upper front, its a GE drawer DW.

But do drawer DWs have that seam as if there were a access panel?

Could it be a standard front opening, free standing or portable dw (with the top missing) , random brand ?  the diamond plating around the knob is reminescent of GE, imo.

Maybe a compact dryer?

But didn’t the Norge’s of that era had side opening lids (like 1963 or something like that)? I saw a 1962 Norge recently, and that one had a lid that opens towards the back.

All solid tub Norge and Wards had back opening lids. It was the perforated tub models that had the side opening lids. These were produced until 1966 or 1967. Here is a mid 60's Ward Signature made by Norge. The washer in the video was clearly a 12lb Norge or Wards solid tub washer.

As for the machine on the right, I wonder if it was a later version of GE's undercounter dryer? That GE dryer didn't come with a top and was made to go under a kitchen counter.

The agitators on those solid tub Norge’s were HUGE. They advertised it as “wave action,” and had both blooming and standard roll over pending on load size and the amount of water. Knew some family friends who had one of these washers, when they bought a Maytag after the Norge bit the dust, she said “you can put some clothes in this one!”

Dreamy spray rinsing in the vid: "The water's going everywhere," exclaims the host, because the flume shoots outward. {The later Norge 18's aimed the flume downward, not as dramatic. } but with that long spray and the subsequent overflow, little wonder the rinse performance was so spectacular--just like the wash's. Norge: "Everybody wants one," (the jingle).

I'm obsessed with things being restored and/or preserved; and even I have to say that once grand home is probably too far gone at this point.
Some of the cars are definitely restorable, but for what it would take, it would have to be your absolute dream car, or you restore cars as a hobby, and just enjoy a challenge.
It made me chuckle; when he gets to the Buick, he wonders if that's another Chevy.
Then, on the screen, they say it's actually a Pontiac.
Nope. 1973 Buick Centurion. I went to school with a guy whose family had the same car, but a hardtop.
It's a shame someone didn't do something with the house and property before the elements took such a toll.

It's weird

I saw this house about 2 years ago and I thought I'd try and find the video to revisit it because some of the details weren't as they were.

In fact, videos from a couple of years ago show the house with quite a bit of clutter and garbage on the inside
COMPARED to
the most recent videos.

It also showed the dishwasher was sitting about where the washer currently is and the washer was laying on it's back in the stair hall behind the wall, blocking up the hallway.
The kitchen was "neater", there weren't boards on the kitchen window or this room where the laundry is, there WERE boards on the main hall window and over the front door, and over that gapping hole in the wall.

I've always had an interest in abaondoned houses/properties. One thing that amazes me is how properties that are vulnerable like this, get "changed" by people. Often it's vandalism or theft but not always.  And it's amazing how long things will sit and people won't do anything.  

In this case someone did some house cleaning. They literally put some of that furniture on the back porch and swept the floor plus did something with all the boxes, magazines, and clutter. That big tv moved from one side of the room to the other where the fireplace is.

People def. will move furnishings around to stage it to get an affect for filming videos.  Urbexers freely admit to that. 

Still the amount of work that someone did to clean things up is ...... only human.  And I dont' think it had anything to do with staging a video.  lol

 

Also, that cheap Lewyt vacuum that was spotted sitting on the first level recently, was originally in the 3rd floor attic and it was open so you could see the motor.

 

Attached are pics from a couple years back.  The third and fourth pic show the washer laying on its back in rear stair back hallway.  At 2:28 in the video it shows them coming down the back stair case and in the upper left corner you'll see the washer sitting upright blocking up the hallway.  And then they show all this furniture sitting in that back room that is now been moved to the back porch.
