No wonder loads take forever to complete in these pitiful machines, the laundry goes on an extended Merry-Go Round ride first!
It's equivalent to the Catalyst treatment in the so-named Whirlpool direct-drive agitator toploader. F&P has featured it on their toploaders beginning with the GWL10 agitator model circa 2001.

Newer top loading washers with wash plates

Clean very well and generally clean much better than old deep fill agitator machines, Consumers simply will not put in enough detergent in a top load washer with an agitator to make them clean as well as and impeller machine or front load washer.

And if you do use enough detergent to get good cleaning and a top loader, you have to double rinse because top loaders that fill all the way up generally don’t rinse that well because they’re just immersing the clothing and a bunch of water.

If you use two deep rinses, the performance gets pretty good however, you’ve used 2 cups of detergent to get them washed and about 75 gallons of water for the entire cycle not something the world can sustain.
