Hello,

I am new here, but I suspect that only this board can help me find an answer! I am a residential owner of a Hobart WM-C1 Glasswasher. It's worked perfectly for more than 30 years. However, a bad freeze cracked the low-pressure regulator. No problem. I found another on eBay.

However, I also need a new water intake valve. And because the unit is so old, the identification number on the original water intake valve (solenoid) has worn off. I haven't a clue about trying to find a new one. Or of finding a currently-available equivalent that could be substituted.

Hobart, of course, has no information as the WM series is decades-old and long out of production or service.

1. Does anybody happen to know the ID number of the original water intake valve on a Hobart WM-C1 (or one of the other WM models)?

2. Does anybody know--or have a suggestion for--an equivalent water intake valve that might work in my old WM-C1?

If I can't find a new water intake valve, my trusty old Hobart Glasswasher is, effectively, bricked. What a pity that would be!

With many thanks in advance for any information or suggestions.

Matteo

I'm kinda jealous. I had a WMC1 many years ago when the church daycare replaced it with a WM5H (which is in my garage)
The timer went bad and when I called Hobart, they told me that last one had been sold a month prior so it went to the curb. Below is a link to the parts manual and a solenoid I found on Hobart's site, but I bet you might find them used online or something similar that isn't as expensive.

Best of luck on keeping it going!!!

Try this part number.

Still available is part number 00-814494 from Hobart $152.04 This was the last iteration of what was once the WM5 series machines, and this valve should work just fine. There is plenty of room under that machine to use this valve.
You can order it directly from Hobart at the link below. Set up an account and pay with your credit card. They are in stock.
