Hey Dave,
We had no idea! Yes, we did Renninger's Sunday in Adamstown (skipped Kutztown Saturday), and that's where we met up with the dealer who had the Sunbeam display in Adam's (had to negotiate, don'tcha know!). There were about 10-12 dealers set up outside too!
We've been going down there for Extravs and the like for about 7-8 years now. Even know the back way from Kutz to Adamstown through Fritztown/Heidelberg (take a Louie at 879 in Reinholds!)! Got my terriyaki jerky at Weaver's before coming home too!
It was weird being down there and not going to Shupp's though (Rich's fave place). I offered to drive by just so Rich could get a whiff of the grove, but he passed.
We didn't go to Zia, but we did hit Silk City Sunday night (Saturday was a Chinese buffet in Reading). Evergreen Diner has become the "go-to" place for breakfast, since the Adamstown (now Dave's?) Diner has gone downhill. 5th St Diner is pretty good when we stay nearer Reading though.
There's a diner out 897 to 422: the Kumm Esse. Been there? Best corn fritters! We haven't been there in a few years.... maybe time to schedule dinner off the beaten track next time!!!
Did you pop into the shops for the President's Day sales??? Did you visit the crazy lady at Apple Works?
Chuck
