We were presented with a Chinese washer that WP said was a stop gap machine until they got the line in Italy, I think, up and running. The economy crashed and the Chinese machine is still the one being offered.

Is this the same washer with an updated look?
The OP washer says "New! Only at Lowe's!" on the sticker by the detergent drawer.
The one linked below also proports to be a Lowes "exclusive".

24" FL Washer

Was built in Italy, the new washer pictured is not at all the same machine but it is also Italian.

 

WP did sell a 24" FL washer the last 5-7 years that was Chinese built and it is without a dough the WORST laundry appliance that ever carried the WP name.
