We actually have a Richard Deacon Cooks Microwave recipe book around here. In the forward to the book, he explains the virtues of using a Thermador microwave.
Thermador should have NEVER abandoned that timeless design for its stoves and ovens. It was a potential classic. Stupid and shortsighted shame.
Does anyone remember Richard Deacons microwave cooking show on TV. He was one of the early proponents way back when. Also was one of my favorite tv character actors, how can anyone forget Mel Cooley from the Dick Van Dyke show. There's probably not a 60's or 70's sitcom out there that he hadn't appeared in
Richard Deacon was a great actor! The Dick Van Dyke show was a riot! I also remember him in an episode of Twilight Zone, as an owner of a factory that was going computerized.
