Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

The third hole is for beer

Nice job cleaning up the coffee makers. I'm proud of ya that you got it done without a Carucelle or whatever that plastic dw thingie was named ;-)

The Westinghouse sure does look like it needs a run in the dishwasher too. I hope the gang here can hook you up with a fresh boot. The drum looks great. Shouldn't be too hard to rewire the power cord to be three wire grounded. If you can find a nice heavy duty extension cord, you can just hack off about six feet at the plug end and use that.

45 miles each way isn't bad. This morning I took a trip 40 miles each way to pick up the Superba 21 KS/Hobart dishwasher. Except I got a bit lost on the way down and it turned into 80 miles to get there. At 15 mpg in my pickup, it starts to get expensive, too.

Yay for my Buddy

Steve:

I want to come up and play with it, AFTER, you have done all the work LOL

She is nice. Glad for ya.

Third hole, Suds Saver????????????????

Steve

Hi Steve, Congratulations on your new baby!! Looks like you will be busy for a while. Love all the coffee pots, my grandmother had that very same percolator!! Looks like it was a good weekend there. Terry

The third hole is for beer

OMG, Thank you!

I never could figure out a practical use for that third hole!
(Looks down at it, *Does it come with instructions?*)

sneaks off to side to avoid *SLAP*

Congrats, Steve!

Great job on the coffee pots and toasters. They look new.

Thanks for saving that awesome washer.

You mentioned:

"Then this..the hose connector threads are-
one of metal and
one of plastic.

The COLD side is metal.. (scratches head, HUH?)"

This is just a GUESS on my part (I'm sure that someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong) but the fact that the power cord doesn't have a grounding wire and the cold water hose connector is metal leads me to suspect that grounding may have been accomplished via the cold water hose. Early Frigidaires were grounded that way.

Good luck with the machine. I hope that the restoration isn't that time consuming or difficult. Hopefully, someone will come along and solve the mystery of the hose connectors.

westinghouse slantfront

This is one of my favorite machines. I have the upscale version and had it up and running for the first time today (with filterflo's help) the bad news, it needs a speed changer and tub bearings and seals and a new boot. I couldn't let it die gracfully so if any one has any of these parts please let me know. The good news, these are great fun to watch.

More upscale than mine? Well clutch the pearls in horror!.

Hmmm the cold-water-side grounding makes a great deals of sense, TYVM.

I have a feeling one I have gotten this one like-new, I will have put myself on the path of a very fulfilling hobby!

Thanks all for the love and encouragement.
And Elizabeth, dear, mind your beaker!

WOOHOO!! Congrats Steve...I know you'll have it up and running with little effort; that splashy action is worth it!

You're not the only one; my AMP's water valve is half-plastic as well. I wonder why they did that?

I have a feeling my nieces will be getting into washers.

The youngest had an accident and I had to wash some articles of clothing. (She was here FIVE minutes and had a shart!)

They were transfixed over the Easy table-top Whirl-dry washer and the GE Filter-flo!

I was a substitute mother for less than two hours and I was wiping @$$es and S--- stains off the panties of life!

O M G! All you mothers out there deserve a drawer full of medals! The girls are 5 , 9 and 12 y.o. and you'd be smilling too going *commando*

anyhoo~ here is the video of the GG FF mini-basket spin.

Up scale model

In order to keep up appearances, and maintain neighbourhood standards Hyacincinth and I would have nothing but an up-scale model. The load level is a matching knob on the left side and the door has crome trim with an aqua inset, other wise it is the same washer except of course we couldn't wash any of Sheridan's fine things in one so common. Jeff

and by fine thing do we mean Chiffon, Taffeta, silk stockings and assorted lingerie?

I truly don't understand why his girlfriend (whom we have never met, dear) would wear a size that would probably fit our Sheridan.

She must be a big girl!
