wet clothes after spin

i need some help please.my kenmore/whirlpool direct drive washer i think is at the end of its life, but i am trying to give it life,,, after changing my share of agitatior pawls,,, motor couplings, tub , and complete trans[ it lost the neutral drain feature so i change trans...] while i was doing that i ordered a new clutch band only since all the use it had old band had six shoes new one came with 3. i put it together and all was good for a year now clothes come out wet, i watched it wash peeking under lid on one side lifted up and keeping switch working and it does all cycles fine except i think it does not spin fast enough, so i took it apart saw some wear on new clutch band,,,i changed it back to the six shoe band that was on it, kept old one that worked fine,, washed clothes,, no better, pump puts out water real good, what am i missing. you can take towells out and twist them by hand and the water comes out like it never spun,,, can there be a brake issue, or clutch drum issue,motor, please help me thanks

If it’s not spinning at all it could be the timer. After the machine completes the neutral drain there is a short pause in the timer that stops the motor allowing the transmission to shift to spin once the power is resumed to the motor after the pause. I’ve seen this a couple of times over the years where the timer skips the pause so the transmission never shifts to spin at the end of the cycle. If at the end of the cycle you find that the machine did not spin at all you can turn the timer back to spin and it will spin if this is the issue. This is ONLY the problem if the washer has not spun at all at the end of the cycle. If it is spinning just not good enough this is not the issue.

spins but clothes are really wet

it seems to go thru all the cycles, neutral drain,,, all water pumps out, then it pauses and bag, goes into spin but i dont feel its fast enough and clothes come out very wet

Oil on the clutch pads/housing?  Wrong spring for the 6-pad clutch band?  Brake not fully releasing?  Some little piece of something missing?
