Well, it just goes to show them - mess with the vintage and don't follow sound advice -- and end up with a set of bisque KitchenAids (?)

i can just see all the kids lined up with tax return in hand waiting to jump on that one. when have you ever seen a common set like that actually SELL for such a high price? they don't because people won't pay it. maytags are all over the place for a couple hundred bucks or less. so your argument that these folks are jacking up the prices for the rest of us doesn't hold water. most machines are found in the dump or in a dark corner of some old appliance store, RARELY on ebay or craigslist. the only person being taken advantage of is the seller, because ebay's making money whether they sell or not. my original point was (and i don't think it's stupid) is that noone has the right to treat other people like that, no matter how badly you wannapinkset of your own.

Did you read the MICHIGAN after wannapinkset? Hello? It wasnt me but I agree. Florida is a stretch for me, eh? Jeez! A 26 hour drive for any color is wayyyy wayyyyyyy too much and I wont pay 500.00 or more in freight. I can and will wait.

And who here is in their 20's? You assume that the young ones know where to find them or that they have no interest. Wrong on both counts. Obviously by the new info about the current owners and a retro house. They can barely help themselves and shop eBay alot. Common sense eludes many of them. I have cousins that buy but cant afford, mistakenly assuming these are the only avenues of possesion.

I will always try to help those that need, not take advantage of those just because I can, and lastly tell the truth regardless.

Well, I used to be in my 20s...

so yeah, there are some of us 'round here. But my big 3-oh was March 3rd, so I don't count.

That said, I think the buyer gets just what they deserve if they pay that much for that set. As long as eBay is making money, then lets just laugh.

I would love a set like that, but not pink. Yee.
