i can just see all the kids lined up with tax return in hand waiting to jump on that one. when have you ever seen a common set like that actually SELL for such a high price? they don't because people won't pay it. maytags are all over the place for a couple hundred bucks or less. so your argument that these folks are jacking up the prices for the rest of us doesn't hold water. most machines are found in the dump or in a dark corner of some old appliance store, RARELY on ebay or craigslist. the only person being taken advantage of is the seller, because ebay's making money whether they sell or not. my original point was (and i don't think it's stupid) is that noone has the right to treat other people like that, no matter how badly you wannapinkset of your own.
