What a baffling comment!

They call the diagram a 'bullsh*t artist rendering', and yet they don't cite any inaccuracy? Where's the 'bullsh*t'?

Reads 99% positive to me - just one (serious) criticism, about the price.

Did I miss something?

Picking nits but a legit question

In one of those videos it makes a point of showing the irksome task of cleaning the 3 blades on a regular fan whilst you only have to wipe around the loop of the Dyson,, but....what about that inner fan and channels?
Let's say after hours and days per month over a course of time that fan in the base and all the inside channeling is going to get dusty/dirt laden depending on its running environment so how do you clean it? With a regular oscilating desk fan like we're all familiar with, the wire cage unclips and you can wipe of the 3 blades with some spray cleaner or just water/wipe, rinse off the wire cage etc and it's clean again.
As an example I picked up a 16 inch desk fan this past summer at a thrift shop and gave it to my sister.. The next day she called to say get it out because it stank of cigarette smoke so I brought it home and took the blades and cage off and washed them down in the sink and used cleaner on the casing,, no more cigarette stink and problem solved... Now if this fan was used in a room with smokers that smell is going to permeate the innards and smell up the room everytime you turn it on

Pete...you are behaving just like those annoying people who like to point out that apple's customer support for iPods, OSs, anything older than two years, is zilch.

You are supposed to stare in awe and buy, genuflecting whilst doing so to the grand alter of almighty design.

That it's technically going to be a disaster in the shortest time is irrelevant. It's all about what's skin deep, not what's below it that counts.

Still, it is a cool idea... I just always cringe when I see printed circuit boards in an area where they'll get covered with sucked in dirt...their shorting out from that is pre-programmed.

Full agreement there! I cringe seeing circuit boards in just about anything anymore.

The motor appears to be several sizes too small for long term operation.

Is that foam covering over the motor/circuts boards an air filter? If so, the unit will need to be periodically disassembled on order to clean that.

Far too gimmicky for me, but probably heaven for the hardcore techie in a very small office/cubical.
