Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The Keyplate store....

Hey Philip

It literally is a store for the Keyplate that isnt in use- the machine has 16 programmes, 8 on each Keyplate but only 1 programme and therefore 1 Keyplate is used at once so its a blank storage slot for the unused one.

The Black Keyplate.....

Hey Mike

Id have to agree it is rather smart- and goes with the Orange one nicely :).

When Kelly (Matts idea !!) is next plumbed in im gonna have to try the Man Made Fibre Blankets programme- im guessing is high level wash poss with prewash.....

I phoned Mathew earlier and he was able to answer a query I had on her operation lol.

Blankets/Something to ponder.....

Hi Rolls

The blanket programme is indeed the same as the delicates, but has a prewash added......

The thing to ponder is why Hoover went back to the Timeline indicator for both this and the A3114 considering all other Keymatics/Selectamatics from the 1st Matchbox onwards have seperate coloured lights for the different stages??

Reverting Back...

I wonder how plausible it would be for them to be using up old stock of the timeline setups for these. After seeing the pics of the inside of the machine, the timeline is a strange setup indeed. I really wish Hoover would have at least sold one series of FL autos here in the states. I amazed that they didn't even try to. Just the twinnie are the only shared models and they became very different in 1970 than the rest of the world.

Hi Seamus, congratulations on your new addition, it's amazing. Hope Matt and you have recovered after the capacitor went band, I had the same thing happen to me with me sevis 108 twinnie. It scarred the crap out of me lol.

I have the installation instuctions for this range of machines in one of my many boxes of brochures in the garage... when I get a spare moment I will scan it in for interest's sake. :-)

Hope your getting on well with it Seamus,

Jon

woollens programme

Hi Seamus,
so happy that you are enjoying this great machine, I just woundered if you have used the wollens programme yet, as it occured to me that the final spin on the selectamatic, differs in that instead of 2 mins 500 then 2 mins 800 as with every other electronic 1100 I've used, it misses out the 500 and goes straight for the 2 mins at 800rpm, this gives a great stream of water down the door rarely seen on the 1100 machines, I just wondered if the keymatic did the same.

Well keep enjoying the machine and all the best for the bearing change as and when.

Mathew
