I have the Hoover Convertible Special 33 that my mother got as a newlywed in 1963 and I want to know what is the best polish for to use on the hood to make it look nice and shiney like Jeff Parkers. Can anyone give me a clue as to whats the best stuff to use?

BRASSO

Pat,
I use brasso, it is the best I have found for imparting a shine to Convertible hoods.
First clean the hood, use super fine steel wool to remove all marks.
Polish using BRASSO, apply with a paper towel and use a fair amount of elbow grease.
Wipe/buff with a soft cloth, and reapply the brasso again if you like.
Depending on the hood's condition, it may take 2-3 polishings before you get a good shine, sometimes only one.
have fun!

I am so glad to see that in light of your recent loss that you still have your sense of humor and good spirit. I think that just goes to show what an exceptional person you are. I hope that you and yours are getting back on your feet and even though you have lost a lot of your possesions I am glad this group hasn't lost you because you do add a lot to this forum.PATRICK COFFEY
