What is your Favorite Detergent/Cleaner Scent?

If you look well enough on shelfs..

(Avoid Walmart altogether, as there product turnover rate is way too high for this) but if you look, and sniff.. you can find older boxes of Tide Powder still available with the old scent. I myself, using free item coupons was able to get 3 boxes between two Target stores in my area. Riteaid & Walgreens are also great places to check, as well as supermarkets. 

I've got them in Moisture Protective bags, and I figure when I eventually use them up.. I'll be able to find a detergent, (powder hopefully) that has a nice scent I can tolerate.

I really wish P&G wouldn't go around changing everything up. One has noticed that the Original Scent in Tide Liquid has also changed, overnight. EVERY SINGLE DAMN SCENT ON THE SHELF, JUST MAKES,  ME GAG.

 

Ehh... why can't good things, stay good?

Dishwasher:
Finish quantum or classic (clean smelling, nothing that makes me feel sick like with the "lemon" scented tablets)

General cleaning:
Method wooden floor squirt and mop (smells of marzipan, tis amazing)
Ecover surface cleaner
Ecover anti bac wipes
Ecover marigold and camomile washing up liquid
Persil washing up liquid
Milton sterilising tablets (smell clean and fresh, use them to clean water bottles)

Think the only Bold detergent I like is the pink powder and the liquid lavender one, oh, and I did used to like the pomegranate and orange blossom powder and gel
Mums a binge bold fan, hence my aversion to the stuff lol

I never used to buy Bold often because I always have fabric conditioner to use but it was on a good deal & I remembered how good it was.

I just find it a shame I can't use Lenor these days - the new Super Concentrate one makes my skin itch like mad & the Spring Awakening has a sickly smell to it on dried laundry. I remember when Lenor had decent fragrances without the need to add so much perfume

Oh no
I've been using Lenor with no problems, but, I haven't used the concentrated ones. I always use less than half a cap of it.
Ecover seems to be my current favourite, light fresh non offensive smell, maybe you could give it a go if you want a fresh smell?

I've got the new concentrated Lenor, no problems whatsoever. Smells great and the smaller bottle fits in the cupboard much better! Great that only half a cap is needed. I'm sitting here smelling my pillows that were washed a week ago (washed and then put in the cupboard) and they still smell of Lenor and Ariel!

Which version are you having problems with?

Only scent I like is clothes line dried clothes.. Otherwise, we've gotten away from scented products.. Why breath the chemical scented items? Ugh..

A co worker uses the Crystal stuff in her wash, OMG, it stinks!

I do miss the old school Tide powder. :-(

I use Norwex laundry detergent.

BoschExxcel, it's the Spring Awakening Super Concentrate, my mum bought some of the Moonlight Harmony Super Concentrate when it was on offer in Morrisons, I've used that & it's fine.

It must just be the blue one then.

Other Lenors I've tried are the Ocean Escape & febreze one & they're ok too.

This is kind of gross but ...

... living in New York City, I'm paranoid about bugs. Cockroaches in particular. And bedbugs.

And since discovering that one of the most effective bedbug (and even cockroach) repellants is lavender oil, I've been using only "natural" laundry detergent that includes real lavender oil.

I'm also using lavender oil-infused dish soap in the kitchen sink, too -- since those buggers crawl up through the drains.

I never used to be particularly thrilled with the lavender scent -- I liked it, but not enough to go out of my way to use it. But now, I'm all about the lavender!

PS: Another big repellant for pests (bugs of all kinds, including roaches, ants, bedbugs, centipedes, and even mice and rats) is peppermint oil. I have cotton pads soaked with the stuff strategically placed all over the apartment. Knock on wood, it seems to be working.

I wonder if it's an age or location thing? i.e. what you grew up with?

I am just amazed that a significant number of people picked quite old-style disinfectant smells like Dettol and Lysol.

To my nose, they're quite unpleasant and I'd actually go out of my way to avoid them.

I've noticed older people associating those smells with 'clean' where as I just find them very unpleasant.
