Harold -

If you could, tip the machine back a bit, and give the pump pulley a nice spin. The pulley is located on the right hand side, towards the front.

It should move with little effort - if it is difficult to move you may need to grab a new Polly Pump for it as well.

When I replaced the drive and pump belt on my 613 they came as a kit. Both belts cost together around 28 bucks. Funny thing is that I had to tell the parts guy its for a long stroke Maytag and not the Orbital. I have used the Orbital belts on the 613 and it does make a slight difference and the Orbital belts have a cloth covering to them. A very easy fix and you cant get any easier to change out a set of belts either.

Hi Bill

Gee, Thank you Sir.. Here is my email address: [email protected] That is a sweet machine I got.. I am waiting for the belts to arrive in the mail next week.

I got another question for your guys.. Does anyone know how to take the motor off? I hate do something to mess things up on the machine. I know the older type and the fewer newer type of the has the basic the same setup of motor being on the front left side. I try to search on the internet how to replace the washer motor on a Maytag and no luck. I'm very curious about how to change one out just in case if I need too. Thanks

Found the Manuals!

Sorry for the delay, but my friend Julie finally found the manuals for the Maytag washer but it is an A212. Would this still help?? If so, please email me with your address and I'll send it directly to you.

Unplug the machine. Tilt it back, and take the front off. Remove belts. Take plastic protector off top of motor. Remove the setscrew in the pulley(it can be a BEAR to remove!)Remove pulley.
There will be 4 nuts that you remove from the bottom.Motor lifts off.

Manuals are on their way!

Just wanted to let you know that you should be getting an envelope from a Julie Beaven in Brownsburg, Quebec. Don't think it's junk mail - your manuals are in there!
Hope this will help.
