hi! I was doing online searching and I stumbled upon this lovely site with people who know a lot more about appliances than me.

I am trying to help a friend. Three of the four burners don't work anymore (I gather they may just be disconnected - that's what I hope, anyway).

I figured, I need to find out the model number first, before I know who to call. But, I can't lift it out. I did pull out the drawers under, and I tried to take photos ( also - sorry I'm a slob). I didn't see a model number. It's probably 1968 or so.

Does anyone know a way to find out?

Thanks in advance.

RB-130L from 1967-68. Basic Frigidaire 32" cooktop. There's a good chance you have a burnt-off wire as GM Frigidaire was notorious for crappy crimp on terminals.

Wow, thanks, people!!

So, I'll look at that page about how to replace burners just in case (I don't know what the "burner" is yet ... I'll do a search) ... however, I'd probably rather hire someone to fix this, even if it's a wire issue. (Unless it's like unjamming a copier. That level, I could do.)

Is it hard to find repairpeople for these? Could a regular electrician do it?
